Finish your story

You’ve shown up for everyone else. Now it’s time to show up for the writer within.

Are you ready to answer the part of you that’s been waiting, to honor the scribbling kiddo who dreamed of being a writer? Powerhouse Writers will help you finally make space for that creative drive and give you the structure, systems, and accountability you need to stop stalling and finally write what matters.

It’s Not Too Late to Make Yourself Proud

So let’s start now. You don’t need to earn it, prove it, or be perfect. Just come as you are.

If you’ve spent years dreaming of being a writer but still haven’t done the work you know you’re capable of, I get it.

I know what it’s like to wonder if you waited too long. To feel behind. To carry stories that never made it past the first draft.

But your best work isn’t behind you. It’s ahead.

Powerhouse Writers is where people with full lives and unfinished work come to finally follow through. Whether you’re stuck in perfectionism, scattered between drafts, overwhelmed by submissions, or just tired of doing this alone—you’ll get the support, clarity, and momentum you need to complete your stories and share them with the world.

The FINISH Framework

What if a system was built for your brain?

For years, I thought I needed more motivation. I believed there was one perfect system out there, a secret code that would finally make me consistent, focused, and the kind of writer who writes for four hours straight every day. Spoiler: that wasn’t me.

As a neurodivergent writer, I needed something different. Something flexible. Something that didn’t fall apart the second life got messy. So I built it.

I call it the FINISH Framework.

It’s the approach I use in The Finishing School, my software, and my community to help writers make meaningful progress without burning out or giving up if they miss a day. You don’t need to become someone else to make real progress. You just need a system that respects how you work and doesn’t expect you to change who you are to succeed.

Turning “Someday” into Today.

The Finishing School is where your writing finally gets the time, space, and support it deserves. From daily check-ins to live coaching, submission strategy to goal-setting, you’ll have everything you need to stop stalling and start writing for real. With three tiers of support, you’ll get access to personalized plans, goal-setting workshops, and the systems that help you build a sustainable, focused creative practice.

Hi, I’m Paulette Perhach.

I coach writers with big dreams, scattered pages, and no time to waste.

My work has appeared in The New York Times, Vox, Elle, Slate, and more. My essays have been read by millions and my book Welcome to the Writer’s Life was named one of Poets & Writers’ Best Books for Writers.

I also know how hard it is to build a writing life — especially when imposter syndrome, distractions, and real life get in the way.

Now I coach writers who are ready to stop doubting and start doing.

If not now, when?
